You could have fashioned a door for the pass through slot and attached all the electronics to the door. Then if you open the door the electronics move out of the way.

I just finished watching Ep.1 through Ep. 9. all in a row. Very nice. Now I see what's involved. I'm now going to consider building it. There's a job waiting on Mars for someone with your talent. "We need people like you Brian" (from Monty Pythons Flying Circus) On Mars. I think this has to be the best Tutorial that I have seen on YouTube since I watched this one: https://youtu.be/8AZ8GqW5iak which took me 2 hours to have my own website up and running

I know this was posted over a year and half ago, but I am in the midst of this build and was curious why you used a mix of 2028 corners and 2020 connectors. Do you feel the 2028 connectors provide more dimensional stability?

you don't need a longer tube to have more power. just buy a second one and link it together with a prism it has two sides where laser light comes out remove the full reflection side of one of the tubes and arrange it with the prisim to forma U shaped path of the laser beam. this method of cascading laser tubes was used before laser LED were a thing
